Privacy Policy
topside.report (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) is an independent newsroom covering ARC Raiders. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
We are not affiliated with Embark Studios, Nexon, or any other party referenced on the site.
Information we collect
We do not require accounts to read the site. There is no public sign-up. We do not run advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data we receive about you.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Railway) records standard request logs: IP address, user-agent string, request path, response status, and timestamp. These are retained short-term for security, abuse prevention, and operational debugging.
Analytics
We use Umami, a cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics service. Umami records aggregate page-view counts, browser type, screen size, country derived from IP, and the referring page. It does not set cookies, does not build a profile of individual visitors, and does not allow cross-site tracking. See Umami’s FAQ for details on how it processes data.
Cloudflare
The site is served behind Cloudflare for caching and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may collect request metadata as part of its security and performance services; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Cloudflare’s Web Analytics beacon, if active, is also cookieless and produces only aggregate metrics.
Embedded third-party content
Some pages embed content from YouTube (via the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain), Twitch, and Reddit. When you interact with an embed, that service may receive your IP address and standard request metadata under its own privacy policy:
- YouTube: policies.google.com/privacy
- Twitch: twitch.tv/p/legal/privacy-notice
- Reddit: reddit.com/policies/privacy-policy
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the site.
- To produce aggregate analytics about which pages are read and from where.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Data sharing
We do not share, sell, or rent personal information. We may disclose information when legally compelled (subpoena, court order) or when necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
Data retention
Server logs are typically retained for 30 days by our hosting provider and then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained at the dashboard level; no individual-visitor records are stored. Published editorial content is retained indefinitely as part of the public record.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information about you. Because we do not collect personal identifiers tied to individual visitors, most such requests will not be applicable. If you have a request, please contact us at the address below.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date.
