Embark Studios will release a new content roadmap for ARC Raiders soon, CEO Patrick Söderlund said today. The plan, dubbed Roadmap 2, arrives after a string of updates that added a trader, Denuvo anti-cheat, and a matchmaking overhaul.
We owe it to ourselves and to the people that are playing to give them more to do.
Söderlund told press that the studio owes players more. "We owe it to ourselves and to the people that are playing to give them more to do," he said. The roadmap will be "a lot more" detailed than the first, which covered four named updates from January to May.
Those updates—Headwinds, Shrouded Sky, Flashpoint, and Riven Tides—brought new maps, enemies, and gear. Roadmap 2 is expected to outline larger additions, including new maps beyond the Rust Belt, new massive enemy types, and deeper lore. Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal recently teased "completely new" ARC designs.
The announcement follows weeks of player feedback about cheating and content droughts. Patch 1.29.0, deployed May 19, introduced Denuvo anti-cheat and a Nomadic Envoy trader. A matchmaking breakdown posted today explained how the game now weighs playstyles to balance teams.
Söderlund's tone was contrite. He said he had apologized to Embark's leadership for not moving faster. The roadmap, he said, is a step toward rebuilding trust. No release date was given, only that it is coming "very shortly."
