Mood barely moved today, 59 against yesterday's 60, and the slice that matters is the OK column at 65 percent. Flat is the wrong word for it though. The room is busy, just busy arguing about the same machine from opposite ends. The Turbine is either the best content Embark has shipped or a 15-minute looting timer with extra steps, and the subreddit cannot decide which.
The how-to-kill-it side ran first. u/AbsimUddin's clip of two Deadlines sliding off a Turbine cracked the front page early, and the top reply does the explainer the post did not: shoot the core cover off first, then plant directly on the core, and your second Deadline auto-loads from quick-use.
That thread fed straight into the day's funniest question post, where someone laid out a full stash of Deadlines on the floor next to a Turbine and asked if it was enough. The top answer, at 954 upvotes: no, they need to be in your inventory. The second-most-upvoted reply christened the thing Space Shawarma and the subreddit appears to have accepted that as the name now.
The Turbine is content the way waiting is content
The other half of the room is not having it. u/Ok_Oil_201's "Turbine is the best content added so far" is sarcasm at 0.76 upvote ratio and 227 comments, and the recipe is the complaint: gear up for a Turbine, load in, loot for five minutes out of boredom, wait ten more, exfil, restart. u/Vinnegard's "why are Turbines not a guaranteed spawn if they're in trials" is the same complaint with the trial system bolted on, and it has the same problem: you can do everything right and never see the boss your weekly objective requires.
u/Prosamis got the line of the day in the replies. "We went from complaining about late spawns to complaining about early spawns. Such is the beauty of life." That is the Turbine debate compressed. The fight is not really about the machine. It is about a trial system that gates a checkmark behind an RNG spawn, and a community that has gotten very good at noticing when a design is wasting its time. 's walks through why the leaderboard placement math punishes anyone who plays early in the week. It is sitting at 0.85 ratio, which on this subreddit means most people read it and nodded.
