If the new cadence means a real lull between drops, the expedition has to carry players through it, and a non-trivial slice of the front page is saying it didn't.

The sweetener buried in the dev post is the Expedition Vault, a new trader that lets you carry five blueprints or items across a reset. u/MoreScarsThanSkin's was the first place most people heard about it, and the comments are the most uncomplicated positivity of the day. It is a small thing that fixes a real complaint and it arrives next week. It also reads, in this context, like an apology for the third expedition more than a preview of the new schedule.
