For the first time in weeks, the top threads are not about wallhacks. The 1.29.0 patch dropped and raiders are doing the thing they do when Embark actually delivers: they are posting about a new gun. The top of the subreddit is a screenshot of the Rascal, a grenade launcher so compact and quirky it could only come from Tian Wen. The mood is up a tick, to 56, but the number does not capture how much lighter the room feels than 48 hours ago.

The Rascal is a budget Hullcracker - same damage, worse reload, unpredictable. But raiders are not arguing over balance. They are calling it "my boy" and posting predictions of the next weapon. u/LaserManiac posted a mockup of a new rocket launcher in the same style, and got 832 upvotes. This is the energy of a new toy, not a new meta. A short clip of the Rascal killing a Shredder in three hits is at 1.2k and rising.
The broader patch notes thread is modest, but the real pulse is in the hype thread from u/CPham93. "Cloak buffs, weapon dura buffs, queen and matriarch fixes so they clip less into buildings, firefly visual fix, anti cheat, and buffs to the other purple augments?? They actually cooked," wrote u/Forcer222, netting 935 points. It is a list, not poetry, and it is exactly what a room that spent a week screaming about cheaters needs to hear.
Then there is the anti-cheat. The Denuvo announcement sits at 1.5k and 656 comments, and the top reply is already a caution. put it bluntly: "if this actually nukes ESP/wallhack users the game might genuinely recover. people were getting hunted like they had GPS trackers." The thread is a mix of hope and the memory of every anti-cheat that overpromised.
