The post that crystallized a summer-break shift sat at 708 points and 208 comments. u/Neat_Estate8442 loaded into Spaceport with a fully kitted Bettina and Jupiter, spent 13 minutes unloading on the Queen, healed other raiders, and was then gunned down at extract by a squeaker who had done nothing but hide. The verdict was swift: squeakers are KOS from now on. The comments were not a debate; they were a registry of grievances.
Dayz taught me if it sounds French or younger than 17 , squeeze it.
u/BackFromMyBan4's 615-point line is the hard rule now. u/SixthSacrifice added "French, absolutely yes." u/SuperDryCider posted an image of a pig-faced streamer, captioning it "Definitely influenced by this." u/Letthepumpkincumflow summed it up with three words: "Welcome to Summer Vacation."
The subreddit was not, however, a monolith of paranoia.
The Camera Never Lies
Two posts down from the KOS edict, u/captaindealbreaker uploaded a clip that got 1,049 points and a 0.98 ratio. A free-loadout raider, visibly nervous, stumbled into a Trials match. Instead of getting shot, he got an entire building's worth of backup. "This game is the best," the post says.
In the comments, the raider who provided the defib showed up. "To be fair he said and showed he had a defib. It just wasn't for the casualty," u/Familiar-Rub-4045 wrote. That is the game's contract in miniature: you get helped if you prove you can help back.
Elsewhere, a PvE lobby produced a quieter version of the same thing. was running scrutiny on Spaceport when a random raider followed them silently, then sent a friend request and a batch of photos afterward. The photographer, , appeared in the thread with 226 points: "I'm pretty proud to say that I'm the photographer who took this." No one demanded he prove his loadout.
