Patch 1.28.0 arrived May 12 with a narrow scope: fix the skill points bug that wiped earned points for some raiders during the Third Expedition and add the Castaway outfit set.
We are still tracking down the remaining accounts affected and will be granting skill points in the following days.
The bug, which Embark acknowledged last week, hit expeditioners after they departed. The fix resolves the root cause, but not every affected account is corrected yet. Embark says it is still identifying those accounts and will grant the missing points manually.

The Third Expedition was already extended after a separate controversy over how skill points were earned. That change, which adjusted point acquisition rates, sparked enough pushback that Embark kept the event live longer. Today’s patch does not touch that system. It only restores points that were lost to the bug.
The Castaway set rotates into the store with this update. The cosmetic joins a growing list of outfit drops, but no other new content accompanies it. The patch is the third since April 30, following the 1.27.0 update that fixed the Trigger 'Nade glitch and a hotfix that addressed a crash. All three were small, targeted releases as Embark works to stabilize the game after the Riven Tides content update.
